		<description>In my tests when I used windows (~2 years ago) xvid was much better, though it required more cpu to get the best results. At the same cpu usage xvid&#039;s advantage was reduced, but it was quite evident.</description>

FFMPEG is a collection of codec with a codec switcher, So when you say FFMPEG decoding i assume you are talking about MPEG-4 decoding in libavcodec library

HD is MPEG4-AVC.
